Unsurprisingly, Wikipedia gets this one hysterically wrong. From 1984 - 1998, 109 episodes aired on a yearly basis with 12 specials at the end of most of these series. It did not end there however, as the BBC continued to provide daily coverage on the Rally of Great Britain all the way through to 2001, where an additional 14 episodes and 3 specials aired, totaling in 133 programmes.
