As you may have noticed, Series 2 is strangely short compared to other series. This is because of a segment called "Greatest Car", a phone-in competition where all 3 Top Gear presenters (and 6 guest presenters - the only time this ever happened in the show) made a report on what they thought the greatest car of all time was. For some reason, every single repeat of the show since airing internationally on BBC Prime in 2005 has completely erased this segment's existence, the only traces which remain being in the credits' sequence of certain episodes, and occasionally in the studio where a strange car and white/green board is visible. This is especially odd since most other phone-in segments remained in re-airings for years, some even surviving all the way through to their digitisation on Motortrend.

The same thing nearly happened (and indeed was the case for over 10 years) with Series 3, which omitted segments where James May drove a classic British car (i.e. V8 Vantage, Lagonda etc.), however, these were reinstated with their original soundtrack when Series 3 came to MotorTrend in August 2019.
